Pairing the unit with our cell phone was intuitive enough–we just had to press and hold the Talk button until we heard a couple of beeps, indicating that the unit was ready for the phone’s half of the procedure.”

While it wouldn’t rival a permanent built in car handsfree, for a portable system that is cheaper and easier to use, it is well worth the purchase. The performance of the Mvox MV900 in the wind test showed that it will cope well with car air conditioning, but will lose clarity with windows open. The noise test demonstrated little noise reduction, but in a speakerphone this is less of an issue. The volume produced by the built in speaker is good, though at high volume levels it did become a bit distorted. The microphone did an excellent job at picking up my voice, and callers on the other end twice commented on the quality of the audio they were hearing.”
