TESSCO Adds VoIP Applications to Line of Network Infrastructure Solutions
TESSCO Technologies Incorporated , a value-added supplier of the product solutions needed to design, build, run, maintain and use wireless systems, today announced that it has expanded its line of network infrastructure solutions to include Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications. With the addition of Multi-Tech Systems’ award-winning VoIP products (MultiVoIP), TESSCO has further improved its position as a vital link in the wireless industry and to its diverse and growing customer base that seeks to transform the way they do business.
TESSCO and Multi-Tech both believe that steep long distance telephone/fax charges remain a challenge for nearly all global businesses, and that substantially decreasing these charges without sacrificing voice quality represents an ongoing goal for most companies. The advancements in VoIP and Internet telephony have markedly increased since their inception and the new MultiVoIP line is a turnkey solution for delivering exceptional voice clarity and driving down long distance charges.
“This is an exciting announcement for TESSCO as we enter into the Voice over IP market. Multi-Tech VoIP products will complement our wireless broadband offerings, extend our reach in the enterprise markets, and give our customers the ability to reduce costs while still maintaining high-quality voice communications,” said Rick Guipe, senior vice president of TESSCO’s network infrastructure line of business.
“The wireless infrastructure of enterprises is an important area for the deployment of voice and fax over IP technology,” states Chip Harleman, vice president of sales and marketing for Multi-Tech Systems, Inc. “And, we believe TESSCO has excellent positioning in the industry to present a Multi- Tech Systems solution to prospective customers.”
MultiVoIP enhances TESSCO’s comprehensive line of wireless and wire line products, and is an efficient, high-performing solution for companies with remote locations. By integrating voice and fax into an existing data network, wire line or wireless, a business can substantially save on recurring telecom charges.
